We are looking for a Communications Assistant to assist the International Student Ministry (ISM) department in the area of communications. InterVarsity Christian Fellowship is an evangelical campus mission serving more than 35,000 students and faculty on more than 560 campuses nationwide. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES include being a maturing disciple of Jesus Christ who is growing in love for God, God?s Word, God?s people of every ethnicity and culture and God?s purposes in the world; enhancing ISM electronic communications; promoting ISM in the area of social networking; advancing ISM in the area of campus communication; handling the communication needs of ISM; assisting in coordinating ISM conferences; conducting research on relevant ISM topics; and developing a personal prayer and financial support team in order to raise an agreed-upon target amount annually.
QUALIFICATIONS include an annual affirmation of InterVarsity?s Statement of Faith, Bachelor?s degree or equivalent education/experience, prior experience with InterVarsity or another campus ministry; knowledge of international student ministry and/or other cross-cultural experience, prior experience in the communications industry, a working knowledge of internet communications strategies, and a working knowledge of graphic design, photo and video editing, HTML and web page editing.
