When it was still snowing in April, it seemed as though we really had MONTHS before summer. Well, not so much. It started 2 days ago, and officially ? yesterday, when our kids ran off the bus for the last time until September.
So, for those of you moving to Sudbury this summer, or those of us not going away, or training our kids to professionally kick-box (since that is what they are already doing with each other), we still have options. YES ? it is not too late to register for Summer Camp in Sudbury!
This post is a work in progress, I will be adding more camps as I hear about more openings, please feel free to comment here or on our DANIELS TEAM Facebook Page and add your favorites. Also, please note that I can not endorse all camps as I have not experienced each one. The only ones I know of from personal experience are Camp Sewataro, Sudbury Park and Recreation?s Sudbury Summer and Camp Longfellow in Wayland ? all 3 are fantastic.
IN SUDBURY:
CAMP SEWATARO! Believe it or not, you can still register. Camp Sewataro is a Sudbury institution. As a former camper (from MANY years ago), this is my favorite option. For the 10 months that the kids are not in camp, the Taylor Family and staff are working year round to make sure that camp is the amazing experience that it is. This is also a really great option for families moving mid-summer as your children are guaranteed to make local friends before school starts. Everything from fishing to archery to a ropes course ? it is endless fun. The good news for all of you readers living outside Sudbury, the Camp busses campers in from all over Massachusetts. It is THAT good! http://www.sewataro.com/ Or call 978-443-3100
SUDBURY PARK & RECREATION: One of the many, many things I love about Sudbury is our own Park & Recreation Department. This full-time, fully staffed, very creative group offers so many options for kids. Although the well-known, highly coveted spots at their own ?Sudbury Summer? camp are sold out before you can say ?Sudbury Park and Recreation? 5 times fast, there are other options. If you missed registration this year, this is your early reminder to set multiple alarms, synch your computer, upgrade to 4 or 5G or be prepared to arrive very early on registration day next year (usually in February).
